Pistoia’s traditional St Bartholomew Festival returns to the streets surrounding the Romanesque Church of San Bartolomeo in Pantano. The celebration combines religious services and blessings with market stalls, local food and activities for children and families.
A cherished symbol of the festival is the corona di San Bartolomeo, a colourful necklace made with large biscuits known locally as pippi, sweets and chocolates. The event runs from Sunday afternoon through Monday evening and admission is free.
